Exchange getting blocked by Cisco firewall

If you find you are unable to connect to a Microsoft Exchange server when behind a Cisco PIX firewall it may be down to the Cisco Mailguard feature.

If you are able to connect through Web Access, and you are able to rule other things out (Proxy server, windows firewall, routing issues) then this is probably the cause.
