If a user tries to log in to email/domain and a password change is required but they cannot change the password, there may be an error in Active Directory.

Navigate to the user in AD
right click and choose ‘properties’
go to ‘Account’
Untick the box ‘User cannot change password’

 Occasionally you may specifically need to give access to ‘random.otherrandom.com’, and as usual you allow ‘*.otherrandom.com’, only it doesn’t work.
The fix is simple, allow the specific subdomain, ‘random.otherrandom.com’ and it should be fine.
