Stop event log filling up
There are certain reasons that cause your event log to fill up (application log, security log etc. ) and you receive a message along the lines of ‘the security log on this system is full’.
You now need to either clear the log or change the settings to enable the security log to overwrite events as needed. So…
- right click on my computer
- choose manage
- expand event viewer
from here you can right mouse click on the log in question. Now you can clear the log, or go into the properties and change to ‘overwrite events as needed’.
