How to copy windows error message
Do you find it iritating when Windows pops up an error message similar to the following, and you want to write the message down :-
Rather than memorising the error message, or taking a screen shot of the error, there is a simple way to grab the text of the error.
Simply press CTRL+C whilst the error is highlighted on the screen. Now open your choice of text editor and paste in the error - you’ll be pleased to see all of the error text.
e.g.
---------------------------microsoftquicktips.com --------------------------- Windows cannot find 'microsoftquicktips.com'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search. --------------------------- OK ---------------------------
