Chinese or Japanese symbols in Access

If you suffer from symbols appearing in your table(s) and it doesn’t go with a ‘Compact and Repair’ there is another method which has worked for me.

Create a new blank access database
Open your corrupt database
right mouse click on the table
choose ‘Export’
browse to your new database

That should get rid of the problem - for now…
